About Our Church Planting Effort

 God has given us a desire not only to plant a church in New Mexico but also to continue to minister in Latin America by assisting national pastors to advance the gospel, train laborers, and reproduce churches. We serve with DirectLine Ministry which is a unique ministry where we can accomplish what God has given us to do. We are church planting missionaries sent from the Temple Baptist Church in Powell, Tennessee. 

TIM'S TESTIMONY

 I was saved as a child after hearing the gospel while attending Sunday school and seeing the changes in my home due to my parent’s salvation. I was baptized soon after my salvation, and at the age of 17, God gave me the desire to preach. After my theological training at Crown College, I served for two years helping with the children’s ministry at my home church. While traveling to different countries to preach the gospel, God directed me to be a missionary to Venezuela in 1999. I met my wife Laura in Venezuela, and we have been married for 23 years. I  planted three churches and then helped a national pastor start a Bible institute.  There have been many churches started by the graduates of this institute. The last pastor I trained started three churches. God led us to return to the States in 2013 after twelve years of ministry in Venezuela.  Due to the political situation, it was extremely difficult to live and minister effectively there any longer. Upon returning from Venezuela, I served at my sending church assisting in ministry to the international community in Knoxville, TN.

LAURA'S TESTIMONY

   I was saved at 16 years of age after hearing the gospel in a youth camp in Venezuela.  Along with my mom and sisters, we became the first believers in the history of our family. Following our baptisms, my extended family disowned us for years. I knew that God had put a desire in my heart to serve Him in a full-time way. I started studying at the Bible Institute, while at the same time studying business at the local university. I served in my local church by ministering in music, signing for the deaf, and directing in the children’s ministry. I have also taught Spanish on a college level, and I am a certified caregiver. My first ministry has always been to my husband and two daughters, Kristi (18) and Kaili (15). Kristi is currently studying at Crown College, and Kaili is in high school.
